NVD 9th graders participated in class elections today. Very proud of all who ran for student leadership positions!

Congratulations to Samaaya Agarwal for being named October Student of the Month! Samaaya is recognized for outstanding achievement, leadership, and a positive impact on our school community!

The NVD Marching Band made school history this past Saturday, winning the US Bands Group 2 RA State Championship with a score of 93.0. This is the first US Bands state title in the school’s history! Congrats to the students, Mrs. Wheeler, and the rest of the staff! #NVDpride

Mrs. DeCosta's Spanish 4 class presented their altars today preparation for El Día de los Muertos. They each chose a person that has passed that had an impact on their lives. They also had written and speaking components for creating their ofrenda. #NVDpride

The NVD Japanese Club and Mrs. Fukuda brought plenty of fun to this year’s “Trunk or Treat” with their creative POKEMON themed table! The weather may have played a trick, but we still enjoyed lots of treats as families filled the gym for a great afternoon. #NVDpride

The NVD Marching Band proudly performed at the 78th Annual North Jersey Band Festival at Clifton Stadium — one of the region’s longest-running musical traditions! Best of luck to the band as they head to States this Saturday! #NVDpride



The Korean Club at NVD joined in the fun at this year’s Trunk or Treat! Students decorated their table and shared plenty of treats while representing our vibrant Korean language and culture program. #NVDpride

The representative from Temple University Japan (TUJ) visited our Japanese classes to introduce the university and its summer camp. Students learned about another great opportunity to study in Japan — with lower tuition!


Congratulations to the NVOT Marching Band for their fourth place finish at the US Bands Ludwig Musser Classic at MetLife Stadium this past Saturday! The band scored a 85.5, a 3 point score increase from their previous competition. In addition, the band placed second in Color Guard and third in Percussion! The band looks forward to continuing their season this Saturday at Ridge High School. #NVOTpride
