Students from our Chinese classes experienced an unforgettable nine day journey through China, exploring Huai’an, Nanjing, and Shanghai. Congrats to the NV Winter Guard for their performance at WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio. The guard competed in the Independent A class for the first time at championships and scored an 80.68 with their best show to date. #NVpride

Today, a Vallet Transportation bus transporting NVD Choir and a passenger vehicle were involved in a low impact collision. There were minor damages reported. Most Importantly, no students were injured. All students safely exited the bus and proceeded into Carnegie Hall shortly after.

Today at approximately 11:15 AM, Northern Valley Demarest implemented a shelter in place due to a medical situation. The issue was handled appropriately, and the building has since been cleared.
I want to commend our students and staff for their response, quick, purposeful, and respectful throughout the situation. I am proud of how our NVD community handled this moment.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.

Congratulations to Ava Pavlos for being named NVD March Student of the Month! Ava is an exceptional student, leader, and role model! As President of NVD DECA, she led a successful year and qualified for ICDC in two events. She’s also a debate co-captain, helping her team earn 1st place program and team awards, while taking home 1st place speaker in the county and league. Beyond her achievements, Ava is known for her kindness, leadership, and mentoring of younger students.

Our Senior Series visited our middle school 8th graders, highlighting Band, Chorus, Performing & Visual Arts, Architecture, CTE and IIDT. NVD seniors shared their experiences and insights from their high school journey, inspiring the next generation. Thank you for giving back!

We were incredibly honored to host Dr. Alex Levy today. As a Holocaust survivor who spent his childhood in hiding at a girls' orphanage in Belgium, Dr. Levy shared a powerful message of hope and survival. We are grateful for his time and his dedication to ensuring these stories are never forgotten.

NVD is happy to announce the Class of 2026 Valedictorian, Leah Park; Salutatorian, Justin Song; and Essayist, Miya Shelton! The NVD community is extremely proud of this year’s recipients, who have worked tirelessly and made many sacrifices to achieve this outstanding accomplishment.

Students from Mrs. Innocenti's and Mrs. Nuvola's Italian classes attended the Metropolitan Opera’s final dress rehearsal of La Traviata, bringing language and culture to life through an unforgettable live performance experience. #NVDpride



We welcomed over 90 current 8th graders this week for Korean and Hebrew language placement tests. We look forward to welcoming our future Norsemen and Golden Knights this fall!
