Joseph Taub Scholar Athlete Award

            The Joseph Taub Scholar Athlete Awards Program honors student-athletes in their senior year who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and strong leadership skills in sports, their schools, and within their communities. Whether you're the lead scorer or the most spirited team player, we want to hear how you have taken the skills you've cultivated in the locker room and used them to create a powerful, positive impact on the lives of others around you.
Two JCC Scholar Athletes (one male and one female) will each receive a $3,600 college scholarship.

Eligibility: current high school senior, current member (in good standing) of a high school sports team or be involved in after school sports (e.g.  intramurals, martial arts, etc.), must have maintained an unweighted GPA of 3.o or higher from grade 9 thru first semester 12th.

Elks National Foundation-Most Valuable Student Scholarship  
Deadline  -11/15/2018
            Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks. Any graduating high school senior who is a U.S. citizen may apply.
Applications will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.

Sixt Rent a Car Scholars Program

            Sixt rent a car has established a scholarship program to assist high school students who plan to continue their college education. Scholarships are offered each year to students seeking to study full-time at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
They are offering 5 high school students $5000
Eligibility:
*Be a graduating high school senior
*Plan to enroll in a full time undergraduate study at an accredited two year or four year college or university for the entire 2019-2020 academic year.
*Have a minimum grade point average of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

APIA Scholars General Scholarship Program

The APIA Scholars (formerly APIASF) General Scholarship Program funds low-income, Asian and Pacific Islander American minority students with a variety of financial packages every year.  There is a special focus on students who have high financial need, are first in their families to attend college, represent the diversity of the APIA community, and have exhibited a strong emphasis on community service.

Frank Baldachino Essay Award Scholarship
Deadline  -02/01/2019

One Male and one Female student-athlete will be selected for this scholarship based on their submitted essay on "How High School Athletics Has Impacted My Life?"
1 - The students must have achieved at least (2) of the following:
a) minimum of B+ average
b) ranked in the top 25% of class
c) ACT score of 24 or an SAT score of 1500 (Math, Reading and Writing).
2 - Applicant must have participated in 2 sports for 2 years in each sport
3 - Applicant must have earned at least one varsity letter in each of 2 sports
4 - Applicant must have a letter of recommendation signed from the high school athletic administrator/director
 All materials must be postmarked to the NIAAA Liaison no later than 2/1/19.

New Jersey Shout Down Drugs!

First Place will receive a $5000 music contract; second place a $3000 contract and third place a $2000 contract.  A Statewide Concert on Friday, May 10, 2019 will feature county finalists at Rutgers University Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theatre, New Brunswick, NJ.


 National Foundation Legacy Awards

            Any child or grandchild of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2016, that is a paid-up to date Elk member  on or before March 31, 2019.

Woman's Club of Haworth Scholarship
Deadline  -03/01/2019
You must be resident of Haworth. The $1200 scholarships will be awarded to the students who, in the opinion of the Committee, best combine academic achievement, extracurricular activities, community service and social service.  Financial aid will not be a consideration.

New Jersey Schoolwomen's Club Scholarship 
Deadline  -03/04/2019

THE NEW JERSEY SCHOOLWOMEN’S CLUB is a group of women educators engaged in all aspects of public education in New Jersey.  The objectives of the club include promoting the interests of our profession, encouraging capable young women to become educators, and recognizing outstanding women in the field of education.
Any young woman who is a senior in a New Jersey high school and is a New Jersey resident is invited to apply.  She should be planning to complete a professional program (minimum baccalaureate) leading to a degree and certification in the field of education.

 Scholarships to be Awarded

The Jeannette Hodge, Mary Ann Giovannini, and Patricia Barber memorial scholarships, each in the amount of $1,000, and two educational awards, in the amount of $500, will be awarded for academic achievement.  Involvement in extra-curricular and community service activities will also be considered.

B. Davis Scholarship

            This Scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post secondary institution.
To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay of less than 1000 words on the topic below:
Describe the 3 characteristics of leadership you value most. Discuss why you believe that these traits are so important and how you feel that they are developed in an individual.
