Dear Parents,

I am excited that your child has registered for our Athletic program this Fall.  Studies have shown students participating in athletics achieve higher grades.  This is due partly for the need to develop time management skills in order to meet the commitment we ask of our student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletics.  Effective time management is one of the many life lessons learned while participating in athletics, especially during the pandemic.   We look forward to your positive support of our NVD Athletic program.

One of the most impactful ways to support our athletic program is becoming a member of the Norsemen Athletic Booster Club.  The Booster Club supports all of our athletes and the 27 NVD sport teams.  Your $55.00 membership goes a long way in helping us maintain a "first class" program for our student-athletes.  The Norsemen Athletic Booster Club pays for all of the senior portraits that are presented at their team's end of season banquets.  Championship picture plaques and banners in the South Gymnasium are also purchased by the club.  Maintenance of our weight room is also done by our Booster Club.  A $10,000 donation towards a state of the art scoreboard, along with a new speaker system, was purchased by the Boosters.  In addition, as a Booster member you will have free admission to Football, Basketball and Wrestling contests, along with the opportunity for your child to apply for the multiple $1,000 scholarships awarded to NVD senior student-athletes.
