This summer assignment is to prepare students for the rigors of AP and further develop important literacy skills. The assignment requires students to actively read and closely analyze the questions and primary sources. 


Students are to complete the guided reading questions and fill out detailed information. Students are expected to have the assignment completed by the first week of school in order to prepare for the teacher created assessment.  It is also important for students to maintain this summer assignment in order to prepare them for AP World History during their junior year.

Students can pick up hard copies in the high school guidance office or from the supervisor over the summer.

Cherokee County | Voter Registration

To register in New Jersey, you must be:

  • A United States citizen

  • At least 17 years old, though you may not vote until you have reached the age of 18

  • A resident of the county for 30 days before the election

  • A person not serving a sentence of incarceration as the result of a conviction of any indictable offense under the laws of this or another state or of the United States.

 

I know many of you probably didn't realize it, but New Jersey is in the middle of a big election.  Our Governor and entire state legislature are up for re-election this year.  This means that if you are 18 by election day you can help decide who will be leading this state for the next four years.  You have until October 12th to register to vote in the November election.  Please utilize the website below to learn about voter eligibility and to formally register to vote.  The website is easy to navigate and will provide answers to any of your questions.  Take the time to register so that you may have a voice in the future of New Jersey and the nation.
